Our history
2010
In the aftermath of the January earthquake, a group of women doctors founds AHCD and provides emergency care, food, and clothing to displaced families sheltered at the Petits Frères de Sainte Thérèse courtyard in Rivière Froide.
After 2010
In partnership with Secours Populaire Français, the Frères de Rivière Froide school is rehabilitated and a program of school medicine, education, and community development begins.
Growth
Regular consultations and community education, children's social activities, an access road linking Bois Djoute to the Carrefour road, and a community water treatment center.
2025
785 pairs of glasses distributed free to children ages 3 to 16.
Today
Five active programs serving more than one thousand people each year.
